We have partnered up with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) who, though their funding from Lloyds Bank is able to deliver high-value engineering apprenticeships to eligible SMEs. The fund
has been set up to support the future skills needed by local engineering and manufacturing businesses to help create the next generation of engineers that are central to the future economic success of the region. This new partnership with MTC, allows us to
send our young engineers offsite for the first 12 months of their apprenticeship to give them a broad foundation for their future
engineering training.
Engineering stimulates the mind. Kids get bored easily. They have got to get out and get their hands dirty; make things, dismantle things, fix things. When the schools can offer that, you’ll have an engineer for life.
